From the summer of 2027, HØJ Elite has secured the talented playmaker Magnus Boysen from GOG.

19-year-old Magnus Boysen has signed a three-year contract, much to the delight of HØJ Elite's director of sport, Hans Lindberg.

"We're really pleased to be bringing Magnus into the squad. He's an exciting young playmaker who has many of the qualities we're looking for. In particular, he plays with great pace and brings offensive skills that give us some interesting options in our attacking play," says Hans Lindberg, adding:

"We see huge potential in Magnus, and with a three-year deal we get the chance to work on his development over the long term and help him take the next steps in his career.

We're really looking forward to having him in the squad and following his development at HØJ Elite."

Magnus Boysen began his handball career at Roskilde Håndbold before continuing at Vejle Idrætsefterskole. From there he moved on to Funen, where he started at the Oure sports college and today plays for GOG.

International experience from club and youth national team

Magnus Boysen is also looking forward to becoming part of HØJ Elite

"I'm really looking forward to becoming part of HØJ Elite and the exciting project the club has set in motion. On top of that, I see my move back to Zealand as a great opportunity to develop further as a handball player and add even more skills to my game. I'm also really looking forward to meeting my new teammates and everyone in and around the club," says Magnus Boysen.

In 2025, Magnus Boysen helped GOG's U18 side win the EHF Youth Club Trophy, beating Veszprém Handball Academy 37-28 in the final. With nine goals in the final, he played a central role in the victory and was named the tournament's most valuable player, MVP.

He also has several youth international caps to his name and represented Denmark at the 2025 U19 World Championship in Egypt. For further information: Hans Lindberg, director of sport Phone: 27132870
