From the summer of 2027, HØJ Elite has secured the strong Norwegian international winger Kasper Thorsen Lien, who currently plays for TVB Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old Kasper Thorsen Lien has signed a three-year deal with HØJ Elite, and that delights sporting director Hans Lindberg.
”I'm really looking forward to bringing Kasper to HØJ Elite. Kasper is a physically strong, quick and dangerous winger, and at 1.94 m tall he has a great reach that can help give our game an extra dimension,” says Hans Lindberg, before continuing:
”At the same time, he brings plenty of international experience from the Norwegian national team, the Bundesliga and the Champions League. So we have high hopes that Kasper can strengthen us both on and off the court,” says Hans Lindberg.
’Very proud’ Kasper Thorsen Lien began his handball career at Norwegian side Tindlund IF, then Sarpsborg IL, before moving on to Halden HK. From there he went on to the major Norwegian club Elverum Håndball, where he had his big breakthrough – here he won Norwegian championships in both 2022 and 2025, and also played in both the Champions League and the European League.
Since 2025, Kasper Thorsen Lien has played for TVB Stuttgart, but now he's looking forward to becoming part of the ambitious plans at HØJ Elite.
”I'm very proud to become part of HØJ Elite and this exciting project. I'm hugely motivated, and I've got a really good impression of the club – it all looks very promising. I'm really looking forward to joining the club, where hopefully I can help – together with the rest of the team – to take the next step,” says Kasper Thorsen Lien.
Kasper Thorsen Lien has played 44 official matches for the Norwegian senior national team, scoring 75 goals. He represented Norway at the 2025 World Championship and was also part of the squad at the European Championship earlier this year. Most recently, he has once again been called up for Norway's upcoming internationals against Georgia and Turkey this month.
We're looking forward to seeing Kasper in the HØJ shirt from the summer of 2027.
