Aalborg Håndbold – HØJ Elite 34-24 (19-9)
It turned into a big day for 21-year-old Mads Bøgh and for HØJ Elite, as our talented young left back made his official debut in tonight's tough away clash against Aalborg Håndbold.
The debut was the culmination of many hours of hard work, which was thoroughly deserved and rewarded in the match against the reigning Danish champions.
We send Mads a big congratulations on his impressive development and on his first official match for HØJ Elite.
The match up north turned out – just as expected – to be an extremely tough task. We didn't make it any easier on ourselves either, as we served up a flood of technical errors in the first thirty minutes.
Down 9-19 at the break, adjustments were made, and the second half was markedly better. Jonathan Svensson – who was named HØJ Elite's player of the match afterwards – put in a strong performance, while Tobias Nielsen also made a good impression.
The biggest moment of the match, however, came in the closing minutes, when Hampus Wanne delivered a wild, formidable and spectacular goal that will without a doubt be a serious candidate for HØJ Elite's goal of the season.

HØJ Elite's next important task is the home match on Sunday 8 March at 4:00 PM, when Grindsted come to visit.
