HØJ Elite signs Jannick Green: 'A really exciting project'

Despite the relegation to 1. division, HØJ Elite and Jannick Green have reached an agreement that sees the top goalkeeper join the club from next season

HØJ Elite will therefore benefit from Jannick Green's vast experience, which includes clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Magdeburg. On top of that come a remarkable 145 caps for the Danish national team, with whom Jannick Green has won Olympic and World Championship gold.

Hans Lindberg, who has just taken over as sporting director at HØJ Elite, is pleased that the two parties have agreed on a move.

"Jannick Green is a really talented keeper who will strengthen our squad significantly. Jannick's achievements and CV speak for themselves – his great experience and leadership qualities will be an asset to the entire squad, and we believe it can give us a boost both on and off the court," says Hans Lindberg about the signing of Jannick Green.

Future plans unaffected

As everyone knows, the season that just ended unfortunately finished with relegation to 1. division, which means HØJ Elite is currently working intensively to build the strongest possible sporting setup for next season.

"I can certainly reveal that I've never spent so much time on the phone or held as many meetings as I do right now. It's no secret that we want to hold on to the agreements we've already made for next season. Our future plans and level of ambition at HØJ Elite are not affected by the relegation. But of course we also understand that the players need to think things over one more time. That said, I'm experiencing a really good dialogue with everyone, and I'm confident that we'll put together a powerful squad for next season," says Hans Lindberg.

Jannick Green is looking forward to becoming part of HØJ Elite, and he has high expectations for the future the club is heading toward.

"It's a really exciting project that HØJ Elite has going. Of course the relegation is a shame, and none of us had counted on it. But that doesn't change the fact that I see some very interesting prospects for the club, and I'm looking forward to becoming part of the HØJ family and contributing my experience and skills. Now it's all about building as strong a team as possible so we can get back up to the league as quickly as possible," says Jannick Green.
