HØJ Elite is proud to announce that the sought-after Swedish playmaker Axel Månsson is joining the club on a two-year deal from the summer of 2026.

For several years, 20-year-old Axel Månsson has been regarded as one of the absolute biggest talents in Scandinavia, and right now he's enjoying great success at his current club, IFK Kristianstad, where he's impressing in both the Swedish league and the European League.

Despite his young age, Axel Månsson has already made his debut for the Swedish senior national team, and he's also been named in the provisional Euro squad ahead of the final tournament in January 2026.

Axel Månsson has previously been a key and successful part of the Swedish youth national teams, winning World Championship silver with the U21 side in 2025, among other things. He was also named the tournament's best playmaker there.

The signing of Axel Månsson is met with great enthusiasm from HØJ Elite's director, Lars Vinther, who is looking forward to benefiting from Månsson's many outstanding qualities.

“With Axel Månsson, we're bringing in a young, ambitious and exceptionally talented offensive player. At the same time, Axel is a creative player with a strong overview, and he's really good at putting his teammates in advantageous situations — while also being a serious goal threat himself,” he says.

“We're both proud and pleased that Axel Månsson has chosen us at HØJ Elite. He had plenty of options to choose from, so naturally we're very happy that Axel found our project at HØJ Elite so attractive that he ended up choosing us,” Lars Vinther continues.

Looking forward to being part of the journey Axel Månsson explains that it was partly the exciting future prospects at HØJ Elite that made him choose the club.

“I'm really looking forward to joining HØJ Elite. I'm glad to become part of the journey the club has started, and I can't wait to play alongside so many talented players. Together, I hope we can create plenty of success,” says Axel Månsson.

Axel Månsson began his career at Lödde Vikings HK, before moving on to LUGI HK, and since 2024 he has been playing for his current club, IFK Kristianstad.
