HØJ Elite have reached an agreement with 26-year-old Swedish right wing Valter Chrintz. The Swede is still rehabbing after a lengthy injury, and at HØJ Elite he'll get the chance to work his way back onto the court in a professional and patient environment.

That's how HØJ Elite's sporting director, Hans Lindberg, explains it.

"Valter has been through a lengthy injury period and is still going through rehab. I know Valter from Füchse Berlin and I know that he's a big asset to a squad, while also performing at a very high level before his unfortunate injuries. We're of course aware that Valter hasn't played an official match since 2024, but we've chosen to give Valter the chance to return to the handball court in a professional but also patient environment," says Hans Lindberg, adding:

"As a person, we're confident he'll fit in well with the squad and in the club as a whole. At the same time, he can share his vast international handball experience and thereby provide important sparring for our talented young players in that position, Marius Ptak and Oskar Andreasson."

Valter Chrintz arrives at HØJ Elite with a strong international CV that includes a German championship, an EHF European League title and a Champions League silver medal with Füchse Berlin, as well as EURO gold with Sweden in 2022.

Aiming for the league

For Valter Chrintz, the move to HØJ Elite is a great opportunity to return to handball after a lengthy injury. The Swedish right wing has gotten a good impression of the club and hopes in time to be able to contribute to the team's ambition of getting back into Bambuni Herreligaen.

"I really wanted to join HØJ Elite, because I had a really good impression of the whole club and the people around it. After a long injury period, I hope I can come back and play handball at the level I've been able to before, and of course that I can stay injury-free in the long run," says Valter Chrintz, adding:

"I'm grateful that HØJ Elite are giving me the chance to continue my rehab and start playing handball again, and I hope I can give something back to the club and, among other things, help the team get promoted to the league again."

Valter Chrintz made his senior debut for IFK Kristianstad back in 2017 at just 17 years old and later became Swedish champion. In 2020 he made the leap to the German Bundesliga and Füchse Berlin.
