The 26-year-old Norwegian goalkeeper André Kristensen is moving to HØJ Elite after five seasons with Portuguese side Sporting CP. He has signed a three-year contract with the club.
André Kristensen has helped win three Portuguese championships in a row and also brings solid experience from the Champions League and the Norwegian national team. At HØJ Elite he replaces German keeper Till Klimpke, who leaves the club this summer.
HØJ Elite's sporting director, Hans Lindberg, is looking forward to welcoming the talented Norwegian keeper to the club.
"We're incredibly happy to be able to bring André Kristensen to HØJ Elite. André is a goalkeeper with great international experience who is currently in his fifth season at the Portuguese top club Sporting.
There he has built up valuable experience at a high international level - including the Champions League - just as he has represented the Norwegian national team," says Hans Lindberg, and adds:
"André comes with a solid handball foundation and an experience that will be a huge plus for our team. We're convinced he'll bring both quality and stability on the court, while his experience will be valuable for many of the other players in the squad.

Ready for a new chapter at HØJ Elite
André Kristensen began his handball career with Norwegian club Sandefjord Håndball before moving on to ØIF Arendal and Drammen HK. From there the journey continued to the major Portuguese club Sporting CP, where he has been part of the squad since December 2022.
At international level he has 17 senior caps for Norway, whom he represented at the 2025 World Championship, among other tournaments.
Now André Kristensen is looking forward to putting his experience to work at HØJ Elite, which has already made a big impression on him.
