Lars Vinther has decided to step down as chairman of the board at HØJ Elite.
It comes after HØJ Elite carried out a management reshuffle on 1 July, in which Lars Vinther took over as chairman of the board while Helle Rasmussen stepped into the role of managing director.
The reshuffle was made in full agreement and with the backing of the entire board. But Lars Vinther has now informed the rest of the board that he is stepping down.
”Lars has told the board that he no longer wishes to be part of HØJ Elite. Naturally, we're disappointed by that – especially given that we had just put a new structure in place. But we've taken note of Lars' decision, and we're now looking into how we can build the strongest possible setup for the future,” says Helle Rasmussen, who is managing director and a member of the board.
The work of finding a new chairman has begun, and at the same time HØJ Elite will now consider a possible expansion of the board to further strengthen the club's development.
”We'll take the opportunity to reconsider the composition and size of the board so that it can support the club's continued development even better. The change won't affect day-to-day life at the club, because we have a strong organisation with skilled and dedicated staff. Our sporting setup and financial foundation are strong and in place for the coming seasons. I'm therefore very confident about the future of HØJ Elite,” says Helle Rasmussen.
