HØJ Elite has decided to make a leadership reshuffle in order to create the strongest possible setup for the future. It means that Helle Rasmussen and Lars Vinther are swapping roles, so that Helle Rasmussen will become CEO going forward, while Lars Vinther takes over the post of chairman of the board.

The switch between Helle Rasmussen and Lars Vinther, who have both been part of the leadership and ownership of HØJ Elite since 2014, takes effect on 1 July and comes at the mutual wish of both parties and with the backing of the rest of the board.

The decision has thus been made jointly and is built on a desire to put Helle Rasmussen's and Lars Vinther's experience and competences to the best possible use, so that HØJ Elite gets the best possible framework for the club's continued development.

That's how it's explained by Helle Rasmussen, who is now swapping the chair role for the role of CEO.

“We've been working towards this solution for quite some time, because we increasingly had a sense that it would put our competences to use in an even stronger way and strengthen the development of HØJ Elite. That's also why it feels like an entirely natural step in relation to where HØJ Elite, Lars and I each stand today. We want to secure a strong club over the long haul as well, and we agree that this organisation gives us the best conditions for reaching our goals and fulfilling our ambitions,” says Helle Rasmussen.

That assessment is shared by Lars Vinther, who looks forward to continuing his work with HØJ Elite with a greater focus on strategic development as chairman of the board. Alongside HØJ Elite, Lars Vinther runs a large company, which means he has many days of travel every year, and the more flexible role as chairman therefore suits him well.

“HØJ Elite means an incredible amount to both Helle and me, and for 12 years we've had a strong, trusting partnership – something I'm looking forward to continuing. We've made this reshuffle to strengthen the overall setup for HØJ Elite and take the club to the next level,” says Lars Vinther and continues:

“As chairman of the board I get the chance to use my experience from the business world within an even more strategic and commercial framework, while Helle heads up the day-to-day management of the club. It's a division of roles that I'm convinced will strengthen HØJ Elite's further development,” says Lars Vinther.

The internal switch is part of HØJ Elite's long-term strategy of continually developing the club in a stronger direction, and it doesn't change the ambitions and goals the club is working towards. On the contrary, the new division of roles is meant to ensure that the right competences are placed where they create the greatest value for HØJ Elite's further development.

“Our ambition is to build a HØJ Elite that grows stronger year by year – on the sporting, commercial and organisational fronts. Our assessment is that we stand really strong both on and off the court, and we're looking forward to the future,” says Helle Rasmussen.
