IMPRESSIVE WIN IN HOLSTEBRO

Thursday night brought a tough away game in Holstebro – a task our liga men handled absolutely superbly.
After the win over Skjern in the previous round, the goal was to follow up on that fine performance in Farum Arena – and the lads did just that in the finest fashion.
We took control of the proceedings from the very first minute – in a well-attended Gråkjær Arena, where just under 2,400 spectators had turned up.
On the court it was clear that the connections between the players are now starting to click, and the creativity in the interplay between Linus Arnesson and Michael Damgaard was nothing short of exemplary.
6-6 after 12 minutes was as close as the home side got to HØJ Elite for the rest of the game, where so much clicked from start to finish. The spirit, the joy of playing and the focus radiated from the players, who kept their composure and quality throughout the entire match.
Defensively we once again played superbly, giving Klimpke and Imsgard – who complemented each other brilliantly – great working conditions in goal. Among other things, Klimpke produced several big saves, while Imsgard stepped up with three penalty saves in a row – to the great delight of everyone with HØJ sympathies in the arena.
At the other end of the court there was plenty of quality too. We weren't reliant on individual performances, but made each other better in a game where everyone took responsibility when the chance presented itself.
A truly fine team performance that gives plenty of belief heading into the coming games.
In the stands, the HØJ family was once again well represented and did their part to make sure the players could feel the support down on the court – and they certainly could.
