At HØJ Elite, we're very proud to present yet another top-class goalkeeper for the men's squad, namely Danish keeper Jannick Green, who joins HØJ Elite on a three-year contract from the summer of 2026.

Together with his family, Jannick has decided to return home to Denmark and HØJ Elite after nearly 12 years abroad. Here's what Jannick himself has to say about the move to HØJ Elite:

“It wasn't an easy decision to take the step and move back home to Denmark after 12 years abroad. But from the very first conversation with Helle Rasmussen, Lars Vinther and Hans Lindberg, I was convinced that this project was exactly right for me. It's an exciting club that's very ambitious, while at the same time I got the impression of an incredibly close-knit, family-like club, which appeals to me a lot. When ambition and humanity go hand in hand like that, I'm extremely happy that HØJ could also see the idea in working together with me.”

HØJ Elite's CEO, Lars Vinther, is of course thrilled with the agreement with Jannick Green:

“After the first conversations, we had no doubt that this was a really good match – both for Jannick and for HØJ Elite. We're bringing in yet another top goalkeeper from the very top shelf, who at the same time has a very likeable personality and a family that values becoming part of the club community as well. Jannick arrives with enormous experience from two of Europe's absolute biggest clubs and from the Danish national team. His handball qualities are obvious. With Jannick joining our goalkeeping unit, we're in a strong position for the coming years. Jannick has also thoroughly familiarised himself with our club culture, which he has bought into without reservation – something we're naturally very excited about.”

On his expectations for his time at HØJ Elite, Jannick Green says:

“I expect – and hope – to help develop HØJ further in the good direction the club has been heading in for many years now. At the same time, I hope I can contribute quality and experience, and I really can't see why we shouldn't be able to be right up at the top of the Danish league. I think the quality and the club are on a really good path, and I'm looking forward to becoming part of it all.”

We're delighted that once again we've managed to attract a player at the highest international level, and there's no doubt that both the HØJ family and Danish handball will get plenty of enjoyment out of a fantastic player and personality.
