Kaja Kamp joins HØJ Elite

HØJ Elite have agreed a two-year deal with the strong Danish line player Kaja Kamp, who is therefore returning to the Danish league.
The 31-year-old line player, who currently plays for German side Borussia Dortmund Handball, joins HØJ Elite from next season, where she is set for a key role.
The new arrival has generated plenty of excitement at HØJ Elite, as head coach Kristian Kristensen explains.
“We're really looking forward to working with Kaja. There's no doubt this is a great signing that will support the club's goal of further sporting development.”
Helle Rasmussen, chair of HØJ Elite, is also delighted that the club has managed to attract a player of Kaja Kamp's calibre.
“We're very pleased that we've succeeded in bringing such a skilled and experienced player as Kaja Kamp to HØJ Elite. It says a lot about what we've already achieved at the club. Kaja will be able to help us build further on the development of our women's team and raise the bar for what's possible,” says Helle Rasmussen.
Kaja Kamp herself says the following about her upcoming move to HØJ Elite:
“I've chosen to become part of HØJ Elite because it's an exciting project that I can really see myself in and want to contribute to. The setup around the club and the team is very inspiring, and my conversations with Helle and Kristian have only convinced me that HØJ is the right choice for me,” says Kaja Kamp, who adds:
“On top of that, it motivates me that I can help develop handball further in the eastern part of the country – I'm really looking forward to that. The opportunities HØJ Elite offers and the club's clear vision are a great match for my own, and I can't wait to get started in the summer.”
Kaja Kamp moved to German side Borussia Dortmund Handball ahead of this season. Before that she played for clubs including Team Esbjerg, TTH Holstebro and EH Aalborg in the Danish league.
Kaja Kamp also has 27 international caps to her name and has represented Denmark at both the 2024 European Championship and the 2023 World Championship.
