Lasse Andersson signs for HØJ Elite

HØJ Elite has reached an agreement with Danish international Lasse Andersson, effective from the summer of 2026.
The 31-year-old back court player joins from Füchse Berlin and has signed a four-year deal with HØJ Elite. With the move, Lasse Andersson returns home to Denmark after ten years abroad, where he has also played for FC Barcelona in addition to Füchse Berlin.
The signing of Lasse Andersson is met with both joy and pride at HØJ Elite, who see the hard-shooting back as an important step in the club's efforts to live up to its ambitions. That's the view of Lars Vinther, director at HØJ Elite.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome Lasse and his family into the HØJ family from next summer. He's a huge name coming home to Denmark, and honestly we feel humbled, but also absolutely thrilled that we've earned Lasse choosing us as his next club. We know he had a number of other offers from big clubs, just as he could have chosen to stay at Füchse Berlin. With his many qualities, Lasse is going to make a big difference at both ends of the court for HØJ Elite," says director Lars Vinther.

Helle Rasmussen, chair of HØJ Elite, is equally pleased that the club will benefit from Lasse Andersson's skills and experience from next summer.

Lasse Andersson explains that he had no doubts a move to HØJ Elite was exactly the right choice once he'd heard more about the club's values and plans for the future.
"Together with my family, I'm looking forward to coming back to Denmark, and not least to continuing my career at HØJ Elite. Through conversations and meetings with Hans Lindberg and Helle Rasmussen, I've gained a really good impression of the club and its values and ambitions, and I'm very keen to help make sure they're achieved in the years to come," says Lasse Andersson.
In addition to his impressive club career, Lasse Andersson has played 83 internationals for Denmark and helped win World Championship gold and Olympic gold, among other honours.
