LIGA WOMEN HAVE THE WIND IN THEIR SAILS AFTER ANOTHER WIN

For the second game running, the HØJ Elite women were able to leave the court with two points in the bag – this time after a big win in Bjerringbro.

There was plenty of anticipation ahead of Friday night's clash in Jutland, following the fine win against Sønderjyske in the previous round.

The question was whether our talented Liga women could build on that strong development and keep the winning streak going. The answer was a resounding YES!

After a tight first half with Bjerringbro narrowly ahead 14-13, the game changed completely after the break.

Our favourites poured in a full 22 goals, and just three minutes into the second half we had scored four unanswered times in a row – and 27 minutes later we walked away with a thumping 35-27 victory.

Head coach Kristian Kristensen says:

"We're very pleased with the performance in Bjerringbro. The team played the patterns we wanted, with great discipline and a focused look about them. Now we keep working hard and look ahead to Tuesday's cup match against HH Elite."

It was a collectively strong effort from the HØJ Elite side, spiced up with several fine individual performances. Almost everyone got "on the scoresheet", with Emma Navne finishing as top scorer with 9 goals, while Emily Sando was named "player of the match" after the final whistle.

Once again, several members of the "HØJ family" made the trip to support us on the road – backing we're both proud of and deeply grateful for.

The next task is already waiting tomorrow, when HH Elite (Horsens) visit for the last 16 of the cup. We're expecting a tight and exciting battle.
