A dream start and a 3-0 lead turned into a clear defeat against NFH 🤷♂️
The HØJ Elite women were on the road tonight against Champions League participants NFH, who unfortunately proved too big a mouthful for our favourites. The start of the match was actually very promising, and the quick three-goal lead could easily have grown even bigger before the home side kicked it into high gear and scored six unanswered goals in a row.
After that the home side was in front, even though we had the chance to go into the break just three goals down.
Unfortunately that turned into a half-time score of 13-8 to the home side. From the start of the second half, NFH came thundering out of the dressing room and scored four times in a row to make it 17-8, after which the match was effectively decided.
It all ended, therefore, with a clear defeat to the favourites from Nykøbing Falster – in a match where our heroes never reached a level that could truly threaten the hosts. Despite the defeat, there were of course positive signs in the match too 🥳
Aside from the promising start, we could celebrate the match's HØJ Elite player, Nina Dano, who among other things scored six times, as well as a hard-fighting Anne Cathrine Lundbye, who delivered a strong performance 💪
