Goal-scoring right back strengthens the HØJ Elite women

HØJ Elite has signed a two-year contract with the talented Swedish right back Nina Dano, effective from the summer of 2026.
The 25-year-old Dano currently plays for IK Sävehof, but has previously featured in the Danish league for both HH Elite (Horsens) and Odense Håndbold.
On top of that, Nina Dano is a Swedish international with several European Championship, Olympic and World Championship finals on her CV.
So this is a seriously strong signing with plenty of impressive performances in the bag, and the upcoming addition has gone down very well with the club's chairwoman, Helle Rasmussen.
"We work continuously on developing the squad and ensuring a sensible balance between experienced players and young talents. In a way, Nina fits both categories at once, because at just 25 she has already gathered a lot of experience, including at the very highest level," says Helle Rasmussen, adding:
"We know that Nina is performing really well at Sävehof, that she is highly motivated and still has big ambitions. She is a goal-scorer and skilled in the assist game, so she will undoubtedly sharpen our attack considerably," says the HØJ Elite chairwoman.
The best choice in every way Nina Dano herself is also looking forward to the upcoming move to HØJ Elite.
"It feels really exciting to get the chance to play in the Danish league again. I chose HØJ Elite because it felt like the best choice for me in every way.

Nina Dano began her handball career at her childhood club Torslanda HK, before moving on to IK Sävehof, HH Elite (Horsens) and Odense Håndbold, after which she returned to IK Sävehof. This summer she pulls on the HØJ Elite shirt – and we're looking forward to working with her.
