MARITA MORTENSEN TO BID FAREWELL TO HØJ ELITE THIS SUMMER

HØJ Elite's Faroese international Marita Mortensen has been with HØJ since the start of 2024, but is leaving the club after this season.

HØJ Elite chairman Helle Rasmussen thanks her for her efforts:

"Back in the winter of 2024, the coaches at the time, Anders Krogh and Michal Piotrowski, spotted Marita, who was playing in a lower division on Amager. As we all know, Marita then joined HØJ, and through hard work and guidance from coaches and teammates she has developed enormously into the player we see today, with her trademark powerful breakthrough actions. At the same time, Marita has fought her way to a place on the highly talented Faroese national team."

"It is and has been a great pleasure to follow Marita's efforts and development, and I wish her all the best going forward in her handball career."

Marita Mortensen on her time with HØJ Elite:

"I've been incredibly happy with my time at HØJ Elite. The club has given me great opportunities to grow both as a player and as a person, and I'm very grateful for the trust and support I've received from teammates, coaches and everyone around the club. They've been some really great years that I'll look back on with great joy."

Everyone at HØJ Elite would like to give Marita Mortensen a big and well-deserved thank you for her efforts. We're delighted that we still have her available for the final and decisive part of the season.
