This summer, our talented Swedish goalkeeper Martina Thörn and HØJ Elite go their separate ways after a strong debut season in Håndboldligaen.
Martina Thörn says of her time at HØJ:
“I've been incredibly happy during my time at HØJ Elite. When we arrived, both my partner, our six-month-old son and I were welcomed with open arms. It's a fantastic club with so many great people around it, and it's been a real pleasure to play alongside the girls. I'd like to thank everyone in and around the club. Now I'm looking forward to the next exciting chapter of my career and I'm ready for new challenges – whatever they may be.”
HØJ Elite chairwoman Helle Rasmussen reflects on Thörn's contribution to the club:
“Martina came to the club with plenty of experience as one of three goalkeepers for the 25-26 season, and she's brought great dedication, a strong appetite for training and solid performances to our relatively young and inexperienced squad. At the same time, we've enjoyed having her lovely family around, and I wish Martina all the best for the rest of her handball career, hoping she soon finds her next club.”
Everyone at HØJ Elite would like to extend a big thank you to Martina for her efforts both on and off the court.
