Our strong Swedish right back, Nina Dano, has just been away with the Swedish national team 🇸🇪
There she stood out as one of Sweden's key players in the two test matches against Brazil, netting a total of seven times across the two games (5+2). 💪
Dano's strong performances come as no surprise to the HØJ faithful. She's made an outstanding start in the HØJ shirt over the first seven rounds.
Nina Dano has been named player of the match several times, and with 38 goals she currently sits eighth on the top scorer list in Bambuni Kvindeligaen. 🏆
🎤 Nina Dano says:
"My first spell at HØJ has been really good. Everyone at the club has welcomed me warmly, and I've felt at home from day one.
It's a club where I really thrive and feel secure both on and off the court. It's been easy to settle in with the team and get to know everyone, and that's meant a lot to me.
I'm really happy to be here and look forward to continuing to develop alongside the team and the club."
🎤 Head coach Kristian Kristensen adds:
"Dano has delivered from the very first whistle, and that in itself is impressive. She has the physical qualities modern handball demands: the ability to generate power in a split second.
That brings obvious advantages in the duels at both ends. On top of that, she has a good shot from 8-9 metres and excellent numbers from the 7-metre spot.
Off the court, Dano is extremely professional and already comes across as a role model for everything the club wants to stand for."
