It was a bunch of highly motivated HØJ Elite women who took to the court in Silkeborg on Saturday afternoon, out for revenge after the frustrating loss to HH Elite in the previous round.

And revenge they got, as the league women ended up cruising to a 31-26 win! 💪

Head coach Kristian Kristensen:

"It was a hectic start to the match, where the HØJ defence was challenged by a lively Silkeborg-Voel side.

Luckily, the girls were efficient in attack, which was one of the reasons for the slim 14-15 half-time lead.

We had a feeling, though, that we could tighten up the defence at the break, and we managed to do just that. At the same time, our scoring efficiency was relatively high despite plenty of technical errors. We opened up a gap early in the second half, and that gave us enough breathing room to bring a comfortable win home from Silkeborg. Naturally, we're proud of that."

A superb Mathilde Rømer once again delivered an impressive performance in goal with a save percentage of over 38, continuing the fine form from the opening win in Nørresundby against EH Aalborg in the first round 🏆

Ida Gullberg was equally dazzling out on the wing, scoring a full eight times on nine attempts, and she was deservedly named player of the match right after the final whistle! 🥳

The next exciting task for the league women is already this Thursday in Farum Arena, when Ikast Håndbold come to visit.
