STRONG LINE PLAYER JOINS HØJ ELITE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

We're delighted to announce that 27-year-old Danish line player Andreas Johann Nielsen is joining HØJ Elite's men's squad with effect from today. Andreas has signed a deal for the rest of the 2025/26 season.

Lars Vinther, CEO of HØJ Elite, says:

"Tom Kåre Nikolaisen is sidelined with a hip injury and faces a lengthy course of treatment, and we're unsure to what extent he'll be available over the coming period, where we have a packed match schedule. That's why we've chosen to bring Andreas into the squad. He can take on the same jobs as Tom, both defensively and offensively, and he has the necessary experience. We're really pleased that Andreas was able to come on board so quickly, and we look forward to integrating him well into the squad."

Andreas Johann Nielsen explains his decision to join HØJ Elite:

"When HØJ Elite got in touch, I had no doubts. It was easy to say yes to such a great opportunity. I think the club has a really exciting project under way, with clear ambitions that match my own perfectly.

I'm looking forward to getting started and will do everything I can to help the team. On top of that, my ambition is of course to get as many minutes on the court as possible, while bringing my experience from the handball league and from my appearances in the European club competitions – including both the Champions League and the Europa League."
