BIG CUP WIN AHEAD OF THE LEAGUE OPENER

HØJ Elite – Roskilde Håndbold: 35-18 (16-10) – Cup match (round 6)
Thursday's cup clash against Roskilde Håndbold was met with plenty of anticipation, as it was the Liga women's first competitive match of the season.
Thankfully it turned out well in every way, with every single player delivering a fine performance from start to finish.
Our young rising star – Julie Groth Persson – was also named a well-deserved "player of the match" after the final whistle.
Head coach Kristian Kristensen says:
"We're very pleased with our performance in our first competitive match. The phases of play came together nicely for long spells, and our overall look was also trending upward.
We're at the very beginning of building the team, and in that light it was a big step in the right direction overall. We'll keep working hard and we're looking forward to our league debut at Frederiksberg this Sunday at 16:00 against København Håndbold."
