Young Dutch international strengthens the league women

HØJ Elite's women bring in the talented Dutch left back Judith van der Helm, who joins the club on a two-year contract from summer 2026.
21-year-old Judith van der Helm currently plays for the Danish Champions League side Team Esbjerg, her first club outside the Netherlands.
Despite her young age, HØJ Elite's future star can already point to several international tournaments on her impressive CV. In recent years she has competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and she was also in action at the 2025 World Championship.
This is therefore a particularly strong signing, which naturally delights HØJ Elite's chairwoman, Helle Rasmussen.
"Judith will be a significant addition to our squad, both defensively and offensively. She's a sought-after two-way player with standout strengths in defence and in the second phase. Part of our job will be to further develop her obvious attacking talent," Helle Rasmussen says, and adds:
"Judith is a young player with big ambitions, while she already has experience at the very top level with the Dutch senior national team. I'm confident she'll develop even further in the HØJ Elite environment, where she's set for a big role."
The club's ambitions and values match my own Judith van der Helm herself is also looking forward to her upcoming move to HØJ Elite with great joy and anticipation.

Judith van der Helm began her handball career at her childhood club HV Quintus in the Netherlands, where she also made her senior debut. From there she moved on to VOC Amsterdam, before continuing her career at her current club Team Esbjerg in January 2025.
Besides her matches in the Danish league, Judith van der Helm has played in several Champions League games, with nine goals so far this season. She is also a key player on the Dutch national team. She joins HØJ Elite this summer, and we're really looking forward to working with her.
