We're strengthening HØJ Elite's management and administration
From 15 September 2025, John Nielsen takes up a new full-time role as Head of Administration at HØJ Elite. The move is part of our effort to strengthen the work done "off the court", so we can better match the new demands and needs that come with being a large organisation with two teams in the handball league.
John will be based at Rugmarken on a daily basis and will join the management team alongside Lars Vinther and Helle Rasmussen.
"By hiring John in this new role, we can free up time for Lars and me to focus on the strategic work and, not least, to take on more of the representative duties and sales work. With two teams in the league, we want to sharpen our focus on regional and national companies, while of course maintaining the strong relationships we have with our existing business partners," says Helle Rasmussen, chairperson of HØJ Elite.
John Nielsen – known to many around the hall as Musti – comes from leadership roles in the banking world, most recently as a branch director at Nykredit. John has been an integral and active part of the parent club HØJ for many years, with a daughter who plays handball, a long-standing seat on the HØJ board and a role as the parent club's representative on the HØJ Elite board. John lives in Jyllinge and represents JGI on the board of Jyllingehallerne.
John himself says of his new job:
"I'm incredibly happy to step into the role of Head of Administration at HØJ Elite. The club and the entire elite environment are close to my heart, and after many years as part of the set-up and a member of the board, I look forward to contributing even more to our shared ambitions."
