Important lessons against a strong Viborg HK

HØJ Elite – Viborg HK 22-36 (9-14)
Despite a promising start to the match and an 8-5 lead after the opening quarter, the game developed – as expected – into an extremely tough task against a strong, fast-paced Viborg side.
"Losing to Viborg HK is no surprise. But the way we threw away our own momentum after an excellent start is cause for concern. Technical errors and poor finishes on the so-called 100% chances were punished mercilessly by an away side that masters exactly this discipline. We need to get back on the horse as quickly as possible, and we'll get the chance to work on it on Wednesday, when the most successful club of the 2010s from Heden (Ikast Håndbold) comes to visit," says head coach Kristian Kristensen.
For HØJ Elite, Sweden's Frida Rosell delivered a strong performance (6 goals) and was deservedly named player of the match after the final whistle. Another bright spot was Filippa Nedovic, who cut an excellent figure and worked tirelessly throughout the contest.
Last but not least, there was a debut and a standing ovation for the experienced Mia Rej, who among other things chipped in with a fine goal along the way.
The next challenge is already waiting on Wednesday 7 January, when the Final4 bronze winners from Ikast Håndbold visit Ølstykke-Hallen.
